Business Director H/F – CDI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential media agency with a dynamic portfolio in Paris. As Business Director, you will lead account strategy and client relationships across diverse sectors, including a high-profile quick-service restaurant brand and a fast-growing fintech client.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Strategic Vision & Writing: Author and present comprehensive annual and campaign-level media strategies with a 360° perspective. Develop high-impact presentations for marketing directors, executive committees, and international stakeholders. Elevate all agency output through strategic storytelling and clear articulation of value.
• Innovation & Value Development: Demonstrate curiosity and expertise in emerging media topics including Influence & Content, Retail Media & E-Commerce, Geo/Proximity marketing, Data, and AI/LLM applications. Identify client needs proactively and co-create bespoke solutions with internal expert teams (Data, Studio, Activation) through a consultative rather than purely commercial approach.
• Leadership & Coaching: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team (Account Directors, Managers, Executives, and Interns). Adopt a coaching mindset, leveraging the team's operational autonomy to focus on strategic development. Identify individual growth opportunities—particularly in strategic thinking, writing, and presentation skills—and guide senior team members through career milestones.
• 360° Coordination: Orchestrate integrated responses across online and offline media, ensuring seamless collaboration between strategy, planning, creative, and activation teams (Search, Social, Programmatic, TV/Video).

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 8–10 years in media agency roles focused on client consulting, media strategy, and relationship management
• 360° Media Expertise: Strong general knowledge of both offline and online media channels
• Writing & Synthesis: Exceptional strategic writing ability with proven experience simplifying complex challenges and delivering high-level strategic documentation
• Management Style: Demonstrated ability to develop teams through coaching and mentorship rather than micromanagement
• Languages: Professional English appreciated
• Location: Based in Paris with hybrid working options (up to 2 days remote weekly, plus 2 full remote weeks annually)
