About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization based in Lindenberg im Allgäu, Germany, seeking an experienced IT Security Expert / Cybersecurity Engineer with a focus on Vulnerability Management. In this role, you will ensure vulnerabilities across the IT landscape are identified and remediated before they become risks. Your work will also encompass security reporting, advising internal departments, and evolving the organization-wide security framework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute vulnerability scans across the entire system landscape and actively participate in penetration testing activities
• Assess and prioritize scan results, then coordinate remediation measures through patch management to reduce the attack surface
• Develop and maintain comprehensive security dashboards that transparently display security status and enable early risk detection
• Advise IT teams on secure system implementation and actively contribute to incident response efforts
• Support security-related audits, checklists, and compliance documentation while ensuring adherence to internal and external security standards
• Create and continuously improve security concepts and policies, including access management, data backup, and emergency planning

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or comparable qualification
• Several years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, ideally with focus on Vulnerability Management or Incident Response
• Knowledge of common security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI-Grundschutz) and experience with vulnerability analysis tools is advantageous
• Analytical, structured working style with strong problem-solving competence
• Confident communication skills when engaging with different departments
• Fluent German and good English proficiency, both written and spoken
