About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology holding company in the DACH region. Our client operates a portfolio of mission-critical software companies and has built a centralized AI platform team that deploys and maintains enterprise AI infrastructure across their entire group. This is a working student position supporting production AI systems used by dozens of organizations.

As part of the AI Core team, you will help build, deploy, and operate a shared AI Hub platform based on Open WebUI. You'll work on real infrastructure, contribute to the same codebase as senior engineers, and have direct ownership of deployment tasks, monitoring tools, and integration projects. This is a hands-on technical role with measurable impact across a large software portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain AI Hub instances across Azure and AWS cloud environments
  • Build and test platform tools, custom functions, and AI agents based on technical specifications
  • Monitor platform health, uptime, logs, and configuration consistency across all deployed instances
  • Develop health-check, alerting, and reporting scripts to track version parity, uptime, cloud usage, and deployment status
  • Support containerized application deployment, including environment configuration, secrets handling, and rollback processes
  • Implement and validate integrations with enterprise services such as MCP servers, Git/Bitbucket, Microsoft Graph, and data providers
  • Write deployment guides, runbooks, and onboarding documentation for new platform users
  • Monitor core platform and dependency releases, summarizing operational impact, upgrade steps, and risks

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong Python skills—comfortable writing scripts, calling APIs, and building small applications
  • Comfortable with Bash/shell scripting and working in a Linux terminal
  • Basic familiarity with cloud infrastructure and application deployment on Azure or AWS
  • Practical experience using LLMs via API (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers)
  • Familiarity with Docker, REST APIs, Git, and deployment workflows
  • Ability to read and work from technical documentation independently
  • Fluent written communication in both English and German

Bonus:

  • Cloud platform certifications in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, especially when paired with hands-on deployment or operations experience
  • Experience with cloud application platforms, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or agentic AI frameworks
  • Infrastructure as Code awareness (Bicep, Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with authentication concepts (OAuth, SSO, JWT)
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, or cloud operations tools such as Azure Monitor or CloudWatch
