(Senior) Managing Consultant – Data & Analytics (w/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting organization in München seeking a Senior Managing Consultant for their Data & Analytics practice. In this role, you will guide clients through the development and implementation of data-driven solutions while taking ownership of projects, teams, and client relationships.

Your responsibilities include:

• Advising clients on Data & Analytics initiatives from strategic concept through successful implementation
• Leading and managing client projects independently, overseeing scope, quality, timeline, and budget while coordinating project teams
• Analyzing business requirements, processes, and data to develop appropriate technical and functional solutions—from data platforms and warehouses to analytics and AI solutions
• Contributing hands-on expertise in data models, data pipelines, reports, visualizations, AI agents, and intelligent automation solutions
• Facilitating client workshops and meetings, moderating decision-making processes, and ensuring functional and technical perspectives converge into viable solutions
• Building sustainable client relationships, identifying new challenges, and developing follow-on consulting opportunities
• Deploying modern technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Azure, SQL, Snowflake, or Databricks in client projects
• Providing technical leadership and coaching to Consultants and Senior Consultants, supporting their skill development and increased project responsibility
• Contributing to the evolution of the Data & Analytics business through best practices, methodologies, offerings, and support for presales and acquisition activities

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable field with several years of relevant experience in consulting or Data & Analytics
• Proven experience designing and implementing Data & Analytics solutions, connecting business requirements with technical implementations
• Experience managing and leading client projects successfully across scope, quality, time, and budget dimensions
• Confident client-facing presence with ability to lead workshops and meetings at executive level and build long-term client relationships
• Strong knowledge of technologies including SQL, Power BI, Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Data Engineering, Snowflake, or Databricks with enthusiasm for applying modern technologies strategically
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and AI Agents with ideally some experience designing or implementing AI solutions in client projects
• Analytical, structured, and entrepreneurial thinking with ability to recognize client opportunities and develop concrete solutions and follow-on business
• Enjoyment of technical leadership and mentoring with willingness to develop junior consultants and take team responsibility
• Strong initiative, communication skills, and hands-on mentality with excellent German and good English proficiency
• Moderate willingness to travel as needed
