Senior Online Marketing Manager – Fokus Media und Performance (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential marketing agency seeking a Senior Online Marketing Manager to take ownership of digital campaign strategy and execution for diverse client portfolios.

In this role, you will:

• Plan, build, and optimize multi-channel digital campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube), Meta platforms, and additional channels including LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, or TikTok depending on client budgets
• Own tracking and conversion measurement infrastructure, build reporting frameworks that answer strategic questions, and translate analytics into actionable recommendations rather than static presentations
• Manage media budgets across channels, monitor pacing and forecasts, and justify budget allocations and reallocation decisions with data-driven reasoning
• Serve as a strategic partner to clients in annual planning, budget discussions, and campaign troubleshooting when performance deviates from expectations
• Develop cross-media plans that extend beyond digital channels—including out-of-home, print, audio, and video—and provide strategic rationale for which formats support campaign objectives
• Request proposals, evaluate media buying opportunities, and negotiate terms with publishers and media houses
• Provide technical leadership within the team and make performance marketing insights accessible to strategy and creative colleagues

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with proven experience managing digital campaigns at a senior level:

• Several years of hands-on experience operating digital campaigns independently—you can build account structures, manage bidding strategies, and troubleshoot Google Ads and Meta platforms without support
• Working proficiency with GA4 and Google Tag Manager—you can audit tracking setups, diagnose implementation issues, and communicate technical requirements effectively with development teams
• Demonstrated experience managing media budgets with the ability to justify allocation decisions based on performance data and strategic objectives
• Cross-channel thinking and experience contributing to media plans that incorporate non-digital formats, with understanding of reach dynamics across media types
• Strong analytical capabilities including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and complex formulas), and comfort working with analytics and reporting platforms
• Ability to lead client meetings independently and explain complex performance concepts in accessible language
• Fluent German (negotiation level) and professional English for daily business communication
• Degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or media management—or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates comparable expertise

The position is based in Dresden with a hybrid work model allowing remote work three days per week.
