About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization with a global data center footprint. We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to support IT operations across multiple data centers worldwide. This position is based in East London and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in data operations, cloud computing, and infrastructure management.
As global data center operations continue to expand, you'll have ample opportunities for career progression while working directly on solutions that impact performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You'll collaborate with experts in AI data center development and operations, contributing to projects that exceed industry standards in design and deployment.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex firmware and hardware-related issues with servers, requiring in-depth knowledge of system architecture, network configurations, and advanced troubleshooting
- Take charge of hardware problem management and develop innovative solutions
- Act as a subject matter expert and point of escalation for team members
- Collaborate with R&D teams to improve hardware designs
- Create new processes and documentation for IT hardware teams
- Improve support processes and develop training materials
- Travel to data centers to participate in large-scale hardware projects and collaborative events
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Knowledge of data centers, server and network equipment
- Deep knowledge of IT hardware with practical troubleshooting experience
- Advanced skills working with Unix operating systems and command line
- Advanced network troubleshooting skills
- Experience with equipment monitoring, data analysis, and presentation
- Proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred qualifications:
- Technical certifications in relevant areas
- Skills in designing and repairing electronic equipment
- Driving license type B
