Senior Operations Manager (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fashion retail organization seeking a Senior Operations Manager to take end-to-end ownership of their operational backbone. In this role, you will ensure product moves reliably from production partners through the warehouse to retail locations, while building scalable processes and KPI discipline.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Owning demand forecasting and order management with production partners, driving new products from setup through launch-ready operational data in relevant systems
• Planning cost-efficient, timely inbound transportation and managing stock levels across warehouse and retail locations to hit availability targets and prevent out-of-stock situations
• Overseeing core fulfillment, returns, and after-sale processes while continuously driving automation and quality improvements
• Monitoring logistics costs against plan, validating invoices, and owning operations KPI reporting
• Acting as the key operational partner across Product, Customer Service, Finance, and external partners to continuously improve warehouse and logistics processes
• Leading cross-team projects to enhance the operations setup
• Ensuring reliable packaging material supply across partners and locations

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings several years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics management, ideally within fashion, e-commerce, or retail environments. You have a proven track record of owning a function end-to-end, including inventory planning, demand forecasting, and cost/KPI frameworks.

Key qualifications include:

• Strong affinity for AI and automation tools, with genuine drive to make processes more efficient
• Clear vision and understanding of state-of-the-art operations setups and processes
• Ambition to strive for excellence and continuous improvement
• True hands-on mentality — equally comfortable executing as designing processes
• Confidence managing external partners and aligning cross-functional teams
• Comfortable with e-commerce and operations tools (experience with platforms like Shopify, collaboration tools, and similar systems)
• Structured, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven working style
• Fluent in English and German; Italian is a plus
• Based in or around Munich with willingness to work full-time (100%) in a remote-first environment
