Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential construction organization in Bad Oeynhausen seeking a Health and Safety Professional to serve as the central point of contact for workplace safety across all organizational levels. In this staff position, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of over 350 colleagues.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing sustainable safety strategies with clear recommendations and independent decision-making authority
• Conducting regular site inspections to identify hazards, analyze incidents, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Delivering training sessions and safety briefings to elevate awareness and best practices throughout the organization
• Serving as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and occupational safety associations
• Monitoring the effectiveness of safety initiatives and making adjustments as needed
• Taking ownership of both strategic planning and operational implementation of workplace safety measures

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a qualified professional with the following credentials and experience:

• Technical degree, Meister, or Techniker qualification plus certification as a Health and Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit), SiGeKo, or Safety Engineer according to § 7 ASiG
• Practical experience in occupational safety with thorough familiarity with construction site operations and workflows
• Expert knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards
• Independent, solution-oriented working style with strong organizational skills and the confidence to make decisions when required
• Excellent communication abilities – able to explain complex safety topics clearly and work collaboratively at all levels
• Willingness to take responsibility for strategic safety development and measurable outcomes
