About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential quality assurance and software testing organization in Nuremberg. We're seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to join their agile, cross-functional team. This role focuses on designing and implementing modern cloud and platform architectures while advising clients on strategic technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex technical requirements and develop forward-thinking solution and platform architectures
- Design and implement modern cloud, Kubernetes, and container platforms both on-premises and in cloud environments
- Develop and optimize scalable CI/CD and GitOps processes, driving automation of development and operational workflows
- Advise clients on platform strategies, operating models, automation solutions, and technological and architectural challenges
- Design secure and compliance-conformant system architectures considering current security, governance, and best-practice requirements
- Facilitate workshops, develop architecture concepts, and serve as a technical sparring partner for decision-makers and development teams
- Support migration and modernization projects, successfully implementing developed solutions alongside project teams
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience in architecting and implementing modern IT cloud and platform solutions
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and operating containerized platforms
- Expertise with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible), and building/operating automated CI/CD pipelines
- Deep understanding of Security-by-Design, Zero Trust, Identity & Access Management, Secrets Management, and compliance and governance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, or NIS2)
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and appropriately to different stakeholder groups
- Very good German language skills (C1 level) and good English proficiency in speaking and writing
- Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for direct exchange, and high degree of flexibility
