Senior Accountant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential property management organization in Hamburg seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will:

• Independently manage bookkeeping for your own portfolio of entities in DATEV, including accruals, provisions, and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements according to HGB standards, ensuring they are audit-ready and delivered on schedule
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Lead the integration of newly acquired property management entities into existing accounting structures, including reviewing opening balance sheets, mapping charts of accounts, and resolving legacy issues
• Review the work of junior accounting staff and provide clear, constructive guidance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for management teams on accounting matters
• Prepare data exports for group reporting in LucaNet

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Bilanzbuchhalter/-in (IHK) certification, Steuerfachangestellte/-r with additional qualifications, or comparable credentials
• At least four years of hands-on experience in German accounting and financial statement preparation, ideally across multiple entities or client portfolios
• Strong command of HGB accounting principles, including provisions, accruals, and intercompany transactions
• Proficiency with DATEV; experience with data exports is a plus
• Familiarity with LucaNet is welcomed but not required
• German language skills at C1 level or higher for professional communication
• Good English skills to navigate internal systems and documentation
