About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software development firm based in Nuremberg, Germany. Our client delivers custom IT solutions from concept through deployment for a diverse range of customers and proprietary products. They work in cross-functional teams and value technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaborative problem-solving.

We are seeking a (Senior) Software Developer to join their team and contribute to high-quality software solutions across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Take a key role in cross-functional project teams developing software solutions for local clients and internal products
  • Identify technical challenges, develop effective solution strategies, and implement them collaboratively with your team
  • Own the entire development process from conception and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Write clean code, implement unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, knowledge transfer, and pair programming
  • Design new features and coordinate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work on new web application development, extend and modernize legacy systems, migrate applications to the cloud, or contribute to research and AI initiatives depending on project needs
  • Support team members with your expertise, take ownership of technical topics, and mentor less experienced colleagues in their professional development
  • Contribute your own ideas, take initiative, and drive topics forward with responsibility and strategic thinking

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience in software development with the ability to integrate AI productively into your daily work
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Java or web frontends like Angular, with willingness to contribute across the full stack
  • Ideally, experience with several of the following: Spring Boot, Angular, databases, AWS, DevOps, cloud technologies, GenAI, IT security, accessibility
  • Passion for software development that goes beyond technical implementation—you want to truly understand customer requirements and needs to develop the best possible solution
  • Curiosity, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to share knowledge to learn and grow together
  • Strong communication skills in German (minimum B2 level) and English
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Nuremberg, Germany for hybrid work arrangements
