Principal Consultant SAP FI/CO (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SAP consulting organization seeking a Principal Consultant for their SAP Finance practice in Mannheim. In this role, you will:

• Lead complex SAP FI/CO and S/4HANA implementation projects from analysis and design through successful delivery
• Provide strategic and technical consulting to clients on optimizing and digitizing their Finance and Controlling processes
• Design comprehensive SAP solution architectures and develop sustainable concepts that align with existing system landscapes and business requirements
• Manage complex workstreams independently and serve as the key liaison between business functions, IT, and project management
• Guide S/4HANA transformations and migrations, bringing your expertise to shape future Finance processes
• Build and maintain long-term, trusted client relationships as their primary technical advisor
• Support presales activities, workshops, proposals, and development of new consulting approaches and business opportunities
• Provide technical mentoring to Consultants and Senior Consultants, supporting their professional development
• Collaborate with national and international teams to introduce best practices and new SAP technologies into projects
• Contribute actively to the evolution of the SAP FI/CO portfolio and consulting services

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
• Several years of proven SAP consulting experience with focus on SAP FI and/or CO
• Deep knowledge of financial and controlling business processes and their implementation in SAP
• Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA, ideally across multiple implementation, transformation, or migration projects
• Experience leading project teams or workstreams and managing complex client requirements
• Strong ability to analyze complex technical and functional contexts and develop sustainable solution concepts
• Confident presence with clients and management, with excellent consulting and communication skills
• Experience in presales, proposal development, or business development is advantageous
• Enthusiasm for knowledge sharing and mentoring less experienced colleagues
• Fluent German and very good English language skills
• Structured and independent working style with strong conceptual and analytical abilities
• Flexibility, willingness to travel, and strong client and results orientation
