(Senior) Full-Stack Engineer (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential GovTech organization that builds AI platforms for public-sector clients across Europe. Our client serves more than 60 government entities and has secured significant venture funding. We're seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to join their Berlin-based engineering team.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. Senior-level candidates will also contribute to architectural decisions and mentor colleagues, but this is not a management position.

Responsibilities

• Build features for emissions analysis tools, cross-department coordination platforms, and administrative automation systems
• Own features end-to-end: understand user problems, implement solutions, manage releases, and iterate based on feedback
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams
• Make pragmatic technical decisions with security, testing, and maintainability as core priorities
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows
• Senior candidates: guide architectural decisions and provide mentorship to engineering colleagues

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven experience shipping and maintaining production web applications across both frontend and backend
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, NestJS (Node.js), and PostgreSQL
• Ability to break down ambiguous requirements into actionable tasks
• Proactive communication: flag uncertainties early and seek feedback when needed
• Genuine interest in improving public-sector workflows (prior climate or GovTech experience is not required)
• Must be based in the EU or already authorized to work in the EU

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
• Background with data pipelines or AI-powered features
• Project or code samples (welcome but not required)
