About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthtech organization based in Berlin that is building AI-powered solutions to improve clinical workflows. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Python and TypeScript to join a small, high-impact engineering team with significant ownership over backend architecture, AI workflows, and product development.
This is a hybrid role based in Berlin-Mitte, with the flexibility to work from home two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve backend architecture with a focus on reliability and scalability
- Design and implement backend features and APIs
- Build dependable data systems using PostgreSQL, SQL, and Prisma
- Develop robust AI workflows and real-time functionality
- Improve production stability, monitoring, and error analysis
- Ensure security and compliance across all backend services
- Collaborate closely with the team to deliver high-quality features rapidly
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of solid experience in backend development
- Demonstrated ability to make sound architectural decisions in cloud and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and SQL
- Professional experience with TypeScript/NestJS and/or Python/FastAPI
- Ownership of production systems, strong debugging skills, and security awareness
- High degree of autonomy, initiative, and team collaboration
- C1-level proficiency in both English and German
- Demonstrable evidence of exceptional technical ability and talent

Pay
Pay via Get A Job.ai: €80,000 – €100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an attractive equity package.
