Marketing Lead (m/w/d) | Remote

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS client in the insurtech space, seeking a Marketing Lead to build and own their marketing function from the ground up. This is a remote role based in Berlin, Germany.

Our client serves hundreds of insurance brokerages with digital solutions that significantly reduce administrative workload. Their product has strong market traction and excellent customer ratings. What they need now is someone who can tell that story to the market and drive qualified inbound leads.

You'll report directly to leadership and work cross-functionally with product management and sales. This is a hands-on role for someone who writes, strategizes, and executes—not just delegates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the company's market positioning and messaging strategy, translating complex B2B software value into language that resonates with the target audience
• Create all marketing content yourself—website copy, landing pages, case studies, newsletters, and LinkedIn posts
• Build organic visibility through SEO and emerging AI search channels (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) where prospects increasingly conduct research
• Establish and scale inbound lead generation to deliver qualified opportunities to the sales team
• Develop value-based messaging that articulates ROI and software replacement economics, moving beyond discount-driven arguments
• Brief and manage external agencies or freelancers when needed

What We're Looking For

• Several years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS or other complex, consultative products
• Proven experience developing positioning strategy, not just executing existing frameworks
• Native-level German writing ability—you'll be creating all content and communicating with German-speaking clients
• Strong understanding of organic search (SEO) and how content performs in AI-driven discovery systems
• Self-directed work style with a hands-on mentality and results orientation
• Experience managing agencies or freelancers, with strong briefing and accountability skills
• Bonus: Background in insurance or financial services
• Must have German work authorization and residency
