Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential Berlin-based organization seeking a Senior Financial Controller to take ownership of financial steering and planning. You'll work closely with accounting and management teams to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting monthly and annual financial closings under HGB
- Preparing forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses
- Serving as finance business partner for accounting and internal stakeholders
- Creating and monitoring cash flow planning
- Analyzing plan-actual variances and deriving actionable recommendations
- Developing reporting frameworks, calculations, and key financial metrics
- Optimizing controlling processes and supporting BI infrastructure expansion
- Ensuring data quality and advancing relevant finance systems and interfaces
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate brings:
- Successfully completed degree with focus on finance, controlling, or accounting, or comparable commercial qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial controlling
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly HGB
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and BI systems
- Strong analytical capabilities and high affinity for numbers
- Structured, self-directed, and solution-oriented working style
- Excellent communication skills with ability to convey financial matters clearly
- German language proficiency at C1/C2 level
- English proficiency at minimum B2 level
