Legal Consultant – Global Investment Management Firm

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global investment management organization seeking a Legal Consultant to support their APAC operations based in Hong Kong. This role offers the opportunity to work with sophisticated financial transactions and provide strategic legal guidance to deal and investment teams.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate NDAs, engagement letters, mandate letters, term sheets and non-binding offers
• Advise deal and investment teams on legal and commercial terms including scope of services, fee structures, liability provisions and indemnities
• Support transaction execution by coordinating with external counsel and ensuring documentation aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of templates and legal processes

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 3–6 years' post-qualification experience with background from asset management firms, private equity, or hedge funds (broader financial services experience may be considered for exceptional candidates)
• Demonstrable experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and transaction documents, particularly NDAs, engagement letters, term sheets and similar instruments
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail
• Outstanding communication and organizational abilities with proven capacity to work effectively in team-based environments
• Chinese language skills required
