Senior Associate Operations (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential management consultancy firm seeking a Senior Associate Operations to join their growing team in München. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact operational excellence projects across manufacturing and industrial sectors, helping clients achieve sustainable process improvements and efficiency gains.

Our client specializes in delivering tailored solutions in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and production optimization. You'll work on-site with national and international clients during the week, with Friday typically spent collaborating with colleagues at their München office.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent project modules within Operational Excellence engagements, particularly in manufacturing industries including automotive, mechanical engineering, and plant engineering
• Analyze value chains and business processes to identify efficiency opportunities and bottlenecks
• Develop and implement improvement concepts using Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and similar methodologies
• Support the cultivation of long-term client relationships and develop deep understanding of operations challenges
• Collaborate closely with project managers and both internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to adjacent practice areas including Strategy, Supply Chain Management, and Procurement
• Help strengthen the firm's position as a leading operations consultancy in key industrial sectors

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree from a reputable university
• At least 3 years of professional experience in management consulting or an operations environment within an industrial company
• Demonstrated experience independently managing project modules in Operations across various industries
• Solid understanding of operations processes and strong interest in Lean methodologies, production optimization, and digitalization
• Industry knowledge in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, or Defense & Aviation (preferred)
• Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus
• Analytical and structured thinking combined with strong interpersonal skills and situational awareness
• Willingness to travel during the week to client sites
