Product Manager – Local Payments (Portuguese + Spanish)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Product Manager - Local Payments to join their Berlin team. Our client operates at the intersection of global commerce and local payment ecosystems, enabling major platforms and merchants to connect with consumers worldwide through simplified payment access.

This is a high-impact role where you'll shape payment experiences across diverse markets, drive product strategy from scheme engagement through market launch, and work cross-functionally with engineering, risk, compliance, and commercial teams. You'll own a portfolio of local payment integrations, optimize success rates, and directly influence the organization's global scaling efforts.

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid: 3 days on-site per week)
Language Requirements: English + Portuguese + Spanish (all required)

Responsibilities

• Execute and inform product strategy for local payments portfolio from scheme engagement to product feature development and market launch
• Drive product discovery and delivery by collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to develop innovative payment experiences
• Develop and optimize the payments product portfolio balancing scheme requirements, financial efficiency, and high success rates
• Analyze key business opportunities and success metrics related to payment acceptance rates, scheme performance, and financial flow efficiency
• Define clear KPIs to measure payment method efficiency, automate reporting, and enable data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, sales, and customer success teams to refine payment requirements and implement new features
• Lead roadmap planning and execution for strategic integration of new local payment methods and optimization of existing flows
• Stay ahead of regulatory changes, market trends, and best practices in local payments

What We're Looking For

• Languages: Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish is required
• Product Leadership: Proven experience owning a product or feature set, leading product discovery, and executing successfully in fast-paced environments
• Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability to work with data, define KPIs, and drive decisions based on insights
• Technical Fluency: Experience working with APIs, automation tools, and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Customer-Obsessed: Deep understanding of user needs and ability to translate them into frictionless product experiences
• Collaboration Skills: Effective communication with engineering, compliance, commercial teams, and external stakeholders
• Bias for Action: Pragmatic decision-making that balances long-term vision with near-term execution
