Kierwright is hiring a Project Engineer I (Land Development) to join our team in Livermore, CA. As an entry-level engineer, you'll support the planning, design, and delivery of land development projects from inception through completion.
Position Summary
This is an opportunity to grow your engineering career in land development at Kierwright. You'll work alongside experienced project leaders and multidisciplinary teams to manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables. You'll gain hands-on experience in site planning, permitting coordination, and construction oversight while developing the technical foundation needed for advancement in development engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers and senior engineers in planning and executing land development initiatives
- Assist with site analysis, conceptual design reviews, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with permitting agencies, surveyors, and design consultants to advance project approvals
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports
- Conduct site visits and document field observations and progress
- Support cost estimating, value engineering, and schedule optimization efforts
- Contribute to construction administration and quality assurance activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with project management and design tools (AutoCAD, GIS, or similar preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in technical documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
