MEP Expert – Fully Remote | Upto $140/hr

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data center organization seeking an experienced MEP Expert for a remote contract engagement. This is a flexible, part-time role (5–10 hours per week) ideal for a seasoned professional who can work independently and deliver high-quality technical review on an asynchronous basis.

Responsibilities

• Review complex engineering tasks in data center environments, with particular focus on cooling systems, hydronic systems, HVAC, and electrical infrastructure
• Check engineering assumptions, calculations, and standards for compliance with applicable codes and equipment specifications
• Identify ambiguities in technical documentation and improve task prompts, acceptance criteria, and evaluation rubrics
• Validate corrected tasks end to end and produce clear, actionable technical findings
• Work independently and meet deadlines in an asynchronous remote environment

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data center or mission-critical MEP design
• Strong working knowledge of data center mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and relevant building codes
• Ability to interpret large, complex document sets and explain technical issues clearly and concisely

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience at a leading multidisciplinary or consulting engineering firm
• PE (Professional Engineer) license or recognized commissioning credential

Location & Schedule:

• Fully remote, based in Australia
• Contract position, 5–10 hours per week
• Immediate start available
