The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of CNC machine operations and programming. Your Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to plan tool paths and production sequences
- Optimize cutting parameters, tool selection, and machining strategies to maintain quality and efficiency
- Conduct quality inspections and perform precision measurements to verify parts meet specification
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with machinists and production staff to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience programming and operating CNC equipment in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, speeds, feeds, and tool geometry
- Proficiency reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances
- Hands-on ability to set up machines, change tools, and adjust programs during production runs
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control practices
- Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in a machine shop environment
