About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential nonprofit software organization in their search for a Business Development Manager (Outbound) based in Canada. This is a net-new role focused on driving sustainable revenue growth through disciplined outbound sales, relationship-building, and deep understanding of nonprofit sector needs.
Our client serves thousands of nonprofit organizations with enterprise management solutions. You'll be targeting Community Action Agencies, Family Resource Centers, United Ways, and similar nonprofit networks across North America.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a repeatable, systematic outbound prospecting process in collaboration with executive leadership
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, actively moving prospects through each stage while tracking key metrics including outreach volume, time to close, and conversion rates
- Focus initial efforts on approximately 1,000 Community Action Agencies nationwide, then systematically expand to additional nonprofit networks
- Refine the value proposition and messaging for target audiences; create supporting materials such as articles, checklists, presentations, and case studies
- Lead all pre-demo discovery meetings to understand prospect pain points, data needs, and organizational goals
- Conduct software demonstrations or coordinate with technical team members to deliver tailored demos
- Develop accurate quotes and complete handoff documentation for seamless transitions to customer success teams
- Monitor revenue metrics and assist in setting revenue goals
What We're Looking For
- Deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector, including funding structures, data reporting requirements, and common operational challenges
- Highly disciplined, self-directed, and organized professional able to work independently and manage a full sales pipeline
- Exceptional relationship-building and active listening skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities; capable of crafting compelling, audience-specific messaging
- Experience with CRM tools and sales pipeline management
- Comfortable conducting software demonstrations and translating technical features into practical value for non-technical audiences
- Ability to work 37.5 scheduled weekly hours

Pay
Pay via Get A Job.ai: CAD $60,000–$70,000 base salary depending on experience and qualifications, plus commissions.
