About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential semiconductor startup in their search for a Senior Analog Design Engineer based in Paris. Our client is at the cutting edge of AI hardware development, building high-performance integrated circuits that push the boundaries of what's possible in next-generation computing systems.
This is a hands-on technical role where you'll design critical analog and mixed-signal building blocks from architecture through silicon validation, working alongside a lean team of engineers and researchers from leading technology companies and research institutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and simulate analog and RF integrated circuits, including amplifiers, mixers, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, and bias/reference circuits, with a focus on signal integrity, linearity, and precision
- Optimize circuits for power, area, and performance trade-offs, ensuring designs meet system-level requirements across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) variations
- Collaborate with optics, simulation, and PCB teams to define architecture and block-level specifications for successive prototype and product iterations
- Work with layout engineers to guide floor-planning and physical design, minimizing parasitic effects and preserving analog precision in layout-sensitive blocks
- Support post-silicon validation and bring-up by defining test plans, analyzing lab measurements, and correlating results with simulation to refine future design iterations
What We're Looking For
- Deep physical intuition and mathematical understanding of analog electronics, including analog voltage-to-current and current-to-voltage conversion at low and high frequencies
- Proven experience designing high-precision analog systems for signal processing or power electronics; experience with high-frequency analog signals is highly valued
- Extensive experience in IC design and post-layout design methodology using standard industry tools like Cadence Virtuoso
- Proficiency designing and optimizing mixed-signal circuits, including DACs and ADCs at both low (kHz-MHz) and high (>GHz) frequencies, plus signal conditioning circuits
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, crosstalk, and noise reduction techniques in mixed-signal environments, particularly in high-frequency RF systems interfacing with digital processors
- Required: advanced node experience (<28nm)
- Proficient English required; French is a plus
