About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential product engineering organization seeking a Senior AWS Engineer in Uruguay. Our client partners with companies to deliver modern cloud solutions, data ecosystems, and AI-enabled products. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AWS architectures across multiple industries while collaborating with a diverse, talented team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in AWS, architecting and operating cloud-based solutions
- Consult with clients to gather requirements and design technical solutions for cloud implementations
- Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, improve deliverable quality, and share best practices with team members
- Develop and maintain CI/CD systems and pipelines
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices
- Manage code/configuration management and version control systems
- Provide project oversight and ensure timely execution of deliverables
- Lead, mentor, and motivate team members through presentations, coaching, and technical guidance
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience architecting and operating AWS cloud solutions
- Consultative approach with strong problem-solving skills to align technical solutions with business goals
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in daily work, or strong enthusiasm to adopt and champion AI practices
- Experience with CI/CD systems, pipeline setup, and version control (VSTS or similar)
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code methodologies
- Full understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and positively impact colleagues
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
