Sales Manager (Solar Modules EU Utilities)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Sales Manager to lead utility-scale solar module sales across Romania. This is a strategic role focused on building market presence, securing large-volume deals, and establishing strong relationships with EPCs, developers, IPPs, and utilities throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand utility-scale solar module business across Romania
• Identify, qualify, and close opportunities with EPCs, developers, independent power producers, investors, and utilities
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of utility photovoltaic projects
• Establish multi-level relationships with strategic accounts and position our client as a preferred supplier
• Engage early with project stakeholders to influence technical specifications and commercial decisions
• Define and execute local sales strategy aligned with broader regional objectives
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract execution in accordance with company guidelines
• Manage the full sales cycle including forecasting, negotiation, delivery coordination, and payment collection
• Coordinate closely with internal teams across Sales Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Project Management
• Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, competitor activity, and project pipeline developments
• Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting via CRM (Salesforce)
• Provide structured market insights to support strategic decision-making
• Represent the organization at industry events, customer meetings, and conferences
• Support contract execution including logistics coordination, documentation (letters of credit, invoices, bills of lading), and pre- and post-sales issue resolution
• Maintain close communication with customers regarding orders, deliveries, and project status

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5+ years of B2B sales experience within solar PV or renewable energy, with preference for utility segment experience
• Proven track record in utility-scale project sales and closing large-volume deals
• Strong network with EPCs, developers, IPPs, and investors in Romania
• Solid understanding of utility PV market dynamics, tender processes, and project lifecycle
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
• Structured, proactive, and results-driven mindset
• Willingness to travel regularly within Romania and across Europe
• Fluent Romanian and English (written and spoken) required
• Ukrainian or any additional European language is a plus
