Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential technology client in their search for an experienced Controller. This is a strategic finance leadership role reporting directly to executive leadership, where you'll own all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for a growing organization.

We are looking for a CPA-track professional with deep public accounting roots and SaaS industry experience who can build scalable financial infrastructure while delivering accurate, timely reporting to support business decisions and future growth milestones.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and fixed asset tracking
• Manage the complete month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Own the full-cycle accounts payable function: vendor onboarding, W-9/1099 administration, purchase order and invoice matching, GL coding, approval workflows, payment execution, and vendor reconciliations
• Reconcile AR and AP subledgers to the general ledger each period; maintain accrual and allowance estimates, including allowance for credit losses
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and monthly management reporting packages with variance analysis against budget and prior periods
• Build and maintain robust internal controls to support audit readiness and due diligence processes
• Manage tax filings, sales tax compliance, and multi-state nexus considerations; proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks
• Own cash management, bank reconciliations, and short-term cash forecasting; forecast working-capital needs and optimize timing of funding and disbursements
• Establish and document finance policies, procedures, and best practices as the organization scales
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance and resource allocation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive experience in public accounting (audit), ideally serving technology or SaaS clients
• Proven track record owning the full accounting cycle and close process
• Strong command of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and accounting systems
• Familiarity with SaaS business models and key metrics (ARR, ACV, CAC, burn rate)
• Experience supporting fundraising processes and investor reporting
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment across U.S. time zones

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $120,000 – $140,000

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k contributions, unlimited paid time off, and short-term/long-term disability coverage.
