Strategy & Operations Associate

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization with operations across Southeast Asia. Our client is seeking a Strategy & Operations Associate based in Malaysia to drive high-impact initiatives across multiple business functions.

This hybrid role requires at least 3 days per week in the Malaysia office and offers the opportunity to work on challenging cross-functional projects in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive high-priority initiatives across the business, working directly with leadership teams
• Solve complex business and product challenges with cross-functional stakeholders
• Build new teams, processes, and operational capabilities as the organization scales
• Lead projects from planning through execution, ensuring meaningful business outcomes
• Research new markets, products, and business opportunities to inform strategic decisions
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical, scalable solutions
• Take full ownership of deliverables and maintain accountability for results

• Strong problem-solving skills and sound business judgment
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
• Comfortable working across engineering, product, operations, and business development functions
• Demonstrated ownership mentality and strong execution skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment
• Curious, resourceful, and intrinsically motivated to build and improve
• Strong English communication skills (primary working language)

This role is not suitable for candidates who: prefer attending meetings over executing work, struggle with aggressive follow-up, require fixed scope and slow timelines, avoid ambiguous cross-functional problems, or produce lengthy updates without clear decisions or actions.
