Broker Manager – RI

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential professional employer organization in their search for a Broker Manager to cover the Rhode Island territory. This is a remote, full-time role focused on building and managing broker relationships that drive sales growth and client retention across the region.

In this position, you'll prospect and develop successful partnerships with brokers, agents, accounting firms, and CPAs on a regional to national level. You'll be responsible for generating referrals, presenting tailored solutions, and training partners on product offerings while maintaining profitable growth in your territory.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, obtain, and develop broker relationships regionally and nationally to maintain profitable sales growth
• Research, identify, and recommend new business leads through cold calling and networking
• Continually establish new agent relationships with brokers, accounting firms, and CPAs to generate client referrals
• Develop and present proposals and client-specific solutions
• Educate and train brokers on product lines, providing ongoing updates and retraining
• Train partners on how to effectively market and sell services
• Maintain professional licensing and technical knowledge through networking, professional societies, and online webinars
• Develop and manage departmental budgets
• Execute minimum two marketing campaigns per month and continuously add new contacts
• Meet monthly goals for RFPs submitted, maintain lead tracking systems, and attend business meetings, trade shows, networking events, seminars, and conferences

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional customer service, written, listening, and communication skills
• Proven sales experience
• Knowledge of PEO structure preferred
• Experience with cold-calling, prospecting, and negotiation
• Understanding of probability and risk management preferred
• Ability to work remotely and successfully manage a Rhode Island territory
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
