VP, Value Add Assembly

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential electronics manufacturing organization seeking a VP, Value Added Assembly to lead their assembly business with a primary focus on radar and RF technology within the aerospace and defense sector. This is a remote-based position requiring up to 50% travel throughout the United States.

In this role, you will own P&L responsibility for the value-added assembly business unit, leading a team of program management professionals while working with matrixed support from operations, engineering, business development, finance, HR, and IT. You will be the outward-facing leader to customers and internal executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall vision, strategy, and leadership for the business group and communicate effectively across the organization
• Set goals and objectives including orders, sales, growth, operating performance, and budget targets
• Lead development of market, product, and technology strategy aligned with corporate strategic plans
• Demonstrate financial acumen in both business growth and execution, recognizing trends and health indicators
• Lead program managers to develop and implement business plans, schedules, and budgets to meet program objectives
• Monitor progress and recommend corrective actions as necessary to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Plan and allocate human and equipment resources to complete objectives within schedule and budget commitments
• Ensure customer satisfaction, product quality, and responsiveness to customer needs
• Institute an atmosphere of continuous product improvement across all personnel
• Maintain communications and cooperation with other functions and business groups to support company goals
• Comply with and actively support company policies including EEO, affirmative action, safety, ISO 9000, and ethical business practices

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required
• 15+ years of leadership experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry with focus on radar and RF technology
• Proven program execution experience in the defense sector, including cost and schedule management (EVMS)
• Experience with successful implementation of organizational change
• Experience within the A&D electronics industry and manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Strong leadership characteristics and demonstrated talent development skills
• Strong business acumen and comfort influencing business decisions
• Excellent communication and management skills
• Problem-solving abilities where development of new solutions will result in major company impact
• Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems for effective communication with customers
• Strong working knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and requirements
• Must comply with export control requirements including ITAR and EAR regulations
