FreeCAD Expert

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential client in the AI sector who needs experienced CAD professionals to support an innovative training initiative. In this remote contract role, you will:

• Author precise, objective question-and-answer sets based on multi-part CAD assemblies provided in native FreeCAD format
• Analyze complex mechanical designs, focusing on geometry, assembly relations, and engineering function to develop multiple technical questions per assembly
• Ensure each question has an exact, verifiable answer that requires application of domain expertise
• Deliver high-quality written content demonstrating clarity and technical accuracy in both questions and answers
• Collaborate asynchronously via written and verbal communication to clarify requirements, review feedback, and iterate on deliverables
• Document insights or ambiguities encountered during the authoring process to support continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with:

• Extensive background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or industrial design with strong foundational CAD knowledge
• Significant experience working with multi-part assemblies and interpreting engineering drawings
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or comparable CAD platforms; direct FreeCAD experience is a plus but not required
• Proficiency in communicating complex technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats
• Demonstrated ability to author detailed technical questions or training material for engineering applications
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing objective, assessment-ready content
• Profile consistent with an expert or consultant who values accuracy and clarity in technical communication
