Retirement Plan Consultant II – Charleston, SC

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential financial services organization seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant II based in Charleston, SC. Our client specializes in retirement planning solutions for employees in healthcare, education, government, and nonprofit sectors.

This is a remote position with travel up to 25% within your assigned territory. You'll work directly with plan participants and sponsors to deliver financial education and enrollment services that help employees make informed retirement decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group presentations (in-person and virtual) to educate employees on retirement plan features and benefits
• Deliver enrollment meetings, age-based financial education sessions, and financial literacy presentations
• Participate in benefit fairs and new employee orientation events
• Support annual plan reviews and educational planning processes
• Collaborate with relationship management teams on targeted campaigns to increase participation and deferral rates
• Meet one-on-one with participants to guide them through plan enrollment and participation options
• Travel as needed for new plan enrollments and client meetings within your territory

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Licenses: Series 7 and Series 66 preferred; appropriate state insurance licenses required
• Designations: CFP, ChFC, or similar professional credentials desirable
• Skills: Excellent presentation and communication abilities; experience conducting group education sessions
• Compliance: This role is subject to SEC Rule 206(4)-5 regarding political contributions. Selected candidates will need to disclose political contributions made by themselves and household family members over the past two years
• Language: Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus
• Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% within your assigned territory
