Senior IT Security Administrator (gn)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential insurance services organization based in Northern Germany. We are seeking a Senior IT Security Administrator to join their team in Hamburg for a permanent position. In this role, you will take on both operational and strategic responsibility in IT security and actively shape the organization's security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Operate and advance security solutions while conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Manage identities, permissions, and access concepts including IAM and PAM systems
• Monitor and secure cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructures
• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide IT security strategy and roadmap
• Create and update security concepts, policies, and standards including ISMS frameworks aligned with ISO 27001
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including DORA, GDPR, and NIS2

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT Security/Cybersecurity, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead function
• Strong expertise in network security, endpoint security, cloud security, IAM/PAM, SIEM, and vulnerability management
• Demonstrated experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz
• Knowledge of current threat landscapes, attack vectors, and countermeasures
• Excellent German language skills for complex technical discussions
