About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential engineering consultancy in the Mechernich area. We are seeking an experienced HVAC/MEP Engineer to join their project delivery team. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Mechernich.

As an HVAC Engineer, you will take ownership of building services projects from concept through handover, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships. You'll develop innovative system concepts, prepare technical specifications, and oversee implementation on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned building services projects, ensuring timely and technically sound delivery from initial concept to final handover
• Develop innovative HVAC system concepts and prepare complete MEP technical plans including all specifications and bills of quantities
• Create and review all required project documentation, maintaining close coordination with clients, specialist planners, and project stakeholders
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
• Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement and quality assurance processes
• Manage project schedules and budgets throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in building services engineering, technical building systems, HVAC, or similar field (Technician and Meister qualifications also welcome)
• Solid technical knowledge and strong interest in building services systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing)
• Previous industry experience in HVAC engineering and building services
• Experience with tendering processes and procurement of engineering and construction services
• Proficiency with MS Office, CAD/BIM software, and cost estimation (AVA) software
• Team-oriented working style with ability to execute tasks independently, solution-focused, and with commitment
• German language proficiency required for client and stakeholder communication
