About This Role
We are representing a confidential clean beauty organization based in Berlin, seeking a Freelance/Temporary Accountant to support their financial operations during a period of growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with e-commerce experience to work in a dynamic, hybrid environment.
Our client is scaling rapidly and requires immediate support to maintain financial compliance and operational excellence as they expand their European presence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payment processing
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements preparation in accordance with HGB (German GAAP)
- Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with German tax and legal regulations
- Prepare cash flow statements and monitor cash on hand
- Work with Oracle NetSuite ERP system (recently implemented)
- Manage cross-border VAT requirements and international financial compliance
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting
- Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
- Experience in e-commerce and cross-border VAT is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is advantageous
- Fluent in English (German, Italian, French, or Spanish are a plus)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on mentality
- Available for freelance or temporary engagement
