About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential clean beauty organization in their search for a Logistics Manager to join their operations team in Berlin. Our client is scaling rapidly across European markets and needs an experienced logistics professional to own their global inbound supply chain.

In this hands-on role, you'll manage end-to-end freight operations from international manufacturing sites to European warehouses, balancing strategic forwarder relationships with daily execution. You'll be instrumental in supporting the company's continued growth while mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complete inbound logistics flow from manufacturing sites to warehouses, covering international air and ocean freight operations
  • Lead freight forwarder management including rate negotiations, provider selection, shipment bookings, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Ensure proactive shipment tracking and exception management, resolving delays, capacity constraints, documentation issues, and logistics disruptions
  • Provide customs brokers with accurate, timely shipment and commercial data for clearance, and support resolution of customs-related queries
  • Maintain accurate shipment, transport, and inventory movement data in ERP systems
  • Coordinate inter-warehouse transfers based on procurement requirements, including transport arrangements and system transactions
  • Monitor and report key logistics KPIs including freight cost, transit time, on-time delivery, and service-provider performance
  • Drive logistics optimization and operational excellence through strategic, data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement
  • Act as main point of contact for logistics topics, coordinating with manufacturing sites, warehouses, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop a junior colleague, fostering knowledge sharing and capability building
  • Provide backup coverage for fulfillment management during planned absences

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in an international logistics or supply chain environment
  • Strong understanding of global transportation, Incoterms, and customs-related requirements
  • Commercial mindset with confidence in negotiations and supplier/service-provider discussions
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with ERP systems, data analysis, KPIs, and Google Workspace
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach with strong sense of ownership and sound decision-making
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across functions and external partners
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
