About the Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential aerospace technology client in the Munich area. We're searching for a Working Student to join their Production Automation team and help scale manufacturing operations through practical automation solutions.
As the second member of this growing team, you'll have significant freedom to develop your own ideas and shape how automation projects are implemented. You'll work closely with production technicians, team leads, external service providers, and machine builders to identify inefficiencies and build solutions that improve quality, reduce errors, and enable more efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Identify inefficiencies, recurring problems, and improvement opportunities in production processes
- Analyze root causes and develop practical automation concepts to address them
- Take ownership of projects from initial idea through implementation and handover to production
- Build and integrate solutions involving software, hardware, sensors, and automation equipment
- Coordinate with external service providers, suppliers, and machine builders when required
- Support production technicians with troubleshooting and technical improvements
- Contribute to increasing process stability, product quality, and production scalability
What We're Looking For
- Currently studying Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Ideally near the end of your bachelor's degree or enrolled in a master's program
- Passionate about automation with hands-on experience building, programming, and developing solutions outside of coursework
- Practical experience from personal projects, university projects, internships, or production environments is strongly preferred
- Knowledge in several of the following areas: PLCs, Python, robotics, sensors and actuators, electrical engineering, CAD, industrial networks, MES, and production systems
- Analytical thinking with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Pragmatic, hands-on mindset with a curiosity to learn
- Effective communication skills with production teams and external partners
- C1 proficiency in either German or English and at least B2 in the other language
