Content Moderation Specialist

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential eCommerce organization seeking a Content Moderation Specialist to join their team in Romania. This is a fully remote position working from home.

As a Content Moderation Specialist, you will:

• Review and moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines
• Identify and report content that violates safety standards, community guidelines, or legal requirements
• Follow established moderation procedures to maintain consistency in enforcement
• Meet accuracy and productivity targets while making fair and objective moderation decisions
• Escalate complex cases to senior moderators or policy teams when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive content and user data

What We're Looking For

• Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related trust and safety fields
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review content that may include hate speech, fraud, or misinformation/disinformation
• Basic understanding of content moderation tools, workflows, and community guidelines
• Awareness of cultural differences and their impact on online communities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document moderation decisions clearly
