Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential biotechnology client seeking their first Forward Deployed Engineer. This role reports to the Director of Customer Success and sits at the intersection of regulatory science, AI implementation, and customer enablement.

You'll own technical implementation for enterprise customers—configuring AI-powered regulatory templates, leading complex integrations, mapping data flows between systems, and coaching customers to become self-sufficient. This is a customer-facing role that requires both deep technical capability and the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize regulatory AI templates to accommodate customer style guides, brand requirements, therapeutic modalities, and scientific specifications
• Build and maintain prompt/template systems that produce high-quality scientific and regulatory documents while managing failure modes in regulated environments
• Architect data integrations between the platform and critical enterprise systems including systems of record and publishing platforms
• Collaborate with IT, Regulatory Affairs & Operations, and Medical Writing teams to ensure seamless technical implementation
• Coach customers on prompt engineering and template maintenance to enable long-term self-sufficiency
• Document best practices and technical implementation guidance for both internal teams and customer use
• Partner closely with GTM and Product teams to refine platform capabilities based on customer needs

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or biopharmaceutical industries (pharmaceutical companies, CROs, CDMOs), ideally in technical or software-focused roles
• Demonstrated experience building repeatable prompt/template systems with systematic output quality evaluation—not just conversational AI usage
• Practical experience with REST APIs, webhooks, API documentation, endpoint validation, and various authentication flows
• Scientific fluency with drug development processes and regulatory terminology (CMC, CSR, HAQ, ICH, IND, NDA, eCTD)
• Experience serving therapeutics, life science, or biotechnology markets strongly preferred
• Drug-related educational background (biology, chemistry) preferred; advanced degree ideal
• Exceptional communication and teaching skills with a genuine passion for customer enablement
• Comfort with ambiguity and enthusiasm for building processes and systems from the ground up
