Assistant Account Executive, Market Access Marketing

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential pharmaceutical marketing agency that is expanding its team. Our client seeks an Assistant Account Executive to join their Market Access Marketing practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to build expertise in payer-focused communications while supporting high-impact projects for life sciences clients.

As Assistant Account Executive, you will serve as an internal team leader, coordinating cross-functional teams to develop marketing programs that resonate with payer audiences. You'll manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships while ensuring all deliverables meet medical-legal-regulatory compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage projects to ensure successful delivery of client deliverables within scope and budget
• Collaborate with Project Management teams to develop timelines, track milestones, and identify potential project risks
• Drive daily project activities by managing scope changes and addressing roadblocks proactively
• Coordinate and participate in content planning meetings with subject matter experts
• Maintain daily client contact, prepare contact reports, and document action items and next steps
• Facilitate medical-legal-regulatory review processes to ensure promotional materials meet compliance requirements
• Support development of client proposals, budgets, and budget reconciliations
• Monitor project budgets including direct and labor costs, flagging out-of-scope items
• Assist with financial reporting and forecasting activities

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
• Minimum one year of practical experience in advertising, marketing, or medical/health communications agency environment, or relevant internship experience
• Experience in Traffic, Project Management, or Account Management roles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated experience with direct client contact and relationship management

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with online submission systems for medical/regulatory/legal reviews (such as Zinc or Veeva)
• Medical communications or healthcare industry background
• Experience writing statements of work (SOWs) and project briefs

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $40,000–$60,000 USD annually. This role is also eligible for discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off.
