About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential financial services organization based in Frankfurt am Main. This is a junior-to-mid-level role for a Risk Manager who will support quantitative risk analysis, regulatory reporting, and risk control functions within a regulated trading environment. The position offers exposure to both traditional securities and digital asset markets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor risk limits and exposures across market, liquidity, and counterparty risk categories, supporting escalation processes as needed
- Execute and validate core risk metrics and risk-bearing capacity calculations
- Maintain and automate risk dashboards, data quality checks, and reporting pipelines
- Support stress testing and scenario analyses for various market events
- Assist with quantitative counterparty risk reviews and exposure tracking
- Help develop, test, and document risk models for complex portfolios
- Prepare concise inputs for risk reports and projects directed to senior management
What We're Looking For
- Strong academic foundation in a quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, physics, or computer science
- At least 1–2 years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry (preferred but not mandatory for strong candidates)
- Programming skills in VBA, Python, R, or SQL for risk model development are highly advantageous
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with creative approaches to working with data
- Very good knowledge of MS Office suite
- Strong communication skills in both English and German
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements for securities trading institutions (IFR, WpIG, MaRisk)
- Interest in traditional financial products and digital assets
- Self-driven, motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
