Senior Research Associate

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential research and insights organization based in London. Our client works to understand public opinion and social trends, delivering evidence-based research to partners across government, media, business, and civil society. They combine consultancy services with independent thought leadership, using both quantitative and qualitative methods to help organizations navigate complex social and political issues.

This Senior Research Associate role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful public opinion research on topics ranging from climate attitudes to institutional trust, immigration, and political fragmentation. You'll work in a small, dynamic team where versatility and intellectual curiosity are valued alongside technical research skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver public opinion research projects using polling, focus groups, and mixed methods
• Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality deliverables across all research outputs
• Translate research findings into clear, actionable reports and presentations for diverse stakeholders
• Identify new research opportunities and proactively develop partnerships to expand the organization's project portfolio
• Represent the organization externally through media appearances, roundtables, and conferences
• Communicate complex research findings to policymakers, civil society organizations, and media professionals
• Provide guidance and professional development support to junior research staff
• Contribute to building a collaborative, intellectually rigorous team culture

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience in research, polling, policy, or political contexts (think tanks, research agencies, communications firms, or policy organizations)
• Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to produce reports, briefings, or analytical content for varied audiences
• Experience interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data and crafting compelling narratives from research findings
• Strong understanding of the UK political system and keen interest in current affairs and public policy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality client deliverables
• Intellectual curiosity about public attitudes and a passion for using data to understand contemporary Britain
• Comfort working in a small team where flexibility and wearing multiple hats is expected

Location: London office Monday–Thursday, with Friday flexible (office or remote)
