Our talent team is representing a confidential data-driven advertising organization based in Germany. We are seeking a Senior Programmatic Manager Display & Paid Social to join their team in Bonn, Nordrhein-Westfalen. This is a full-time position combining operational campaign expertise with strategic consulting and a strong performance focus.

In this cross-functional role, you will work with a major telecommunications client in the consumer sector. You'll review existing campaigns, setups, and processes with a critical eye, then collaborate with operational teams to enhance conversion, efficiency, and sustainable growth across programmatic display and paid social channels.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic performance goals into clear requirements for operational teams and support implementation through close technical collaboration
• Oversee performance-oriented programmatic display and paid social campaigns, ensuring goals, planning, execution, and optimization align effectively
• Conduct operational quality assurance by reviewing setups, targeting, budget allocation, and optimization measures to ensure they support defined performance objectives
• Analyze campaign results, challenge existing measures and processes, and develop concrete improvements with operational teams to increase efficiency, conversion, and growth
• Provide strategic consulting to internal stakeholders on media plans, audiences, campaign logic, budget deployment, and cross-channel questions with a performance marketing emphasis
• Develop new testing approaches for audiences, creatives, platforms, and optimization logic; evaluate their impact on performance, conversion, efficiency, and scalability
• Take a cross-channel perspective, examining programmatic display and paid social alongside other channels to create integrated recommendations
• Prepare and present results and recommendations clearly to decision-makers and internal departments
• Refine working methods, quality standards, and processes to ensure successful approaches are sustainably embedded within the team

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in programmatic display and paid social, with deep knowledge of planning, implementation, and optimization for performance-driven campaigns
• Detailed understanding of campaign setups, targeting, bidding, and optimization logic; ability to assess how operational execution impacts conversion, efficiency, and scalability
• Strategic thinking: ability to place campaign results and operational questions in a broader context and derive sound recommendations for performance-oriented measures
• Strong analytical skills; data-driven work style with the ability to recognize patterns and translate campaign and performance data into actionable recommendations
• Critical mindset: constructively question existing measures and processes, identify improvement potential, and drive development with your own initiatives
• Control and consulting competence: clearly articulate technical requirements, guide operational teams effectively, and lead diverse stakeholders toward common solutions
• Extensive experience with relevant DSPs such as DV360, adform, The Trade Desk, or Amazon DSP, plus paid social platforms including Meta, TikTok, Snap, or Pinterest
• Excellent communication skills: convey complex topics clearly, justify recommendations coherently, and present confidently to varied audiences
• Self-directed and organized: work structured and independently with high quality standards while maintaining overview across complex topics, priorities, and stakeholders
• Very good German and English language skills, written and spoken
