Associate Account Executive Germany (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech client in Berlin that is transforming how financial institutions deliver investment services across Europe. Our talent team is seeking an Associate Account Executive to join their Business Development function, focusing on the German market.

This is a high-impact sales role where you'll work directly with senior leadership to win and support major financial institution clients. You'll be at the forefront of helping banks, wealth managers, and digital platforms modernize their investment offerings through API-based infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospect to contract close, meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Take a consultative approach to understanding client needs and developing compelling commercial proposals
• Create persuasive sales materials that clearly communicate value propositions to financial services decision-makers
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and industry contacts through regular engagement and networking
• Share client insights to improve sales processes and enable the broader team
• Coordinate effectively with implementation teams to ensure smooth client onboarding
• Contribute to sales enablement initiatives and process optimization

What We're Looking For

• 1-3+ years of experience in sales roles within investments, banking, wealth management, or financial services—ideally in B2B contexts with API or SaaS products
• Alternatively, 1-3+ years at a specialized financial services consultancy working on IT infrastructure projects related to investment services
• Strong interest in and exposure to investments, securities trading, and infrastructure-as-a-service business models
• Understanding of or eagerness to develop B2B sales methodologies such as solution selling and consultative approaches
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate across different groups and challenge assumptions constructively
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation capabilities, including handling objections and delivering compelling pitches
• Proactive ownership of complex projects with excellent communication and documentation discipline
• Fluency in German (C2 level) strongly preferred
• Location in Berlin or remote within Germany preferred

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience selling to banks or wealth management firms
• Deep understanding of the investment industry, current trends, and competitive landscape
• Established professional network within the German financial services sector
