Our talent team is representing a confidential software consultancy that builds innovative applications for clients across the United States and Latin America. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack and Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join their remote team in Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, low-latency API services in AWS environments
• Develop secure multi-tenant systems with proper data isolation and Row-Level Security
• Write and maintain RESTful APIs that integrate with third-party services via SDKs
• Manage PostgreSQL/AuroraDB schemas, write raw SQL, and handle migrations using tools like node-pg-migrate
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies including integration tests against live databases and fault-injection scenarios
• Contribute to frontend development with React when needed
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment
• Utilize AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow
• Collaborate with clients and deliver on team commitments with accountability

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a backend focus
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Proven track record building low-latency API services on AWS
• Experience designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs
• Hands-on work with SDK integrations to external services
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security implementation
• Experience building secure multi-tenant architectures
• Comfort writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations
• Professional React development experience
• Strong testing practices and experience with real-database integration tests
• Familiarity working with AI coding assistants in daily development
• CI/CD creation and maintenance skills
• Full stack development understanding with ability to contribute across the stack
• Background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap with US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
• Extreme ownership and accountability for deliverables
• Client-focused dedication and strong problem-solving ability
• Positive mindset and meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models
• Familiarity with Fastify and schema-first validation (e.g., Zod)
• Experience running containerized services on AWS Fargate/ECS
• Background in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains such as fintech or telecom/TCPA compliance
