About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital entertainment organization seeking a Senior Online Engineer to join their distributed team across the Nordic region. This is a full-time, fully remote position based in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, or Norway.
Our client is building the next generation of scalable digital platforms that serve millions of users worldwide. You'll be working on high-performance backend systems that power interactive experiences at massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain robust APIs and backend services handling high-volume, real-time interactions
- Build scalable online systems ensuring low latency, high availability, and seamless performance under heavy load

- Contribute to architecture decisions and design specifications for complex platform components

- Language-agnostic programming skills with adaptability to project requirements; experience with Go is a plus
- Deep understanding of performance optimization, caching strategies, and load management
- Experience with high-volume transactional systems and database optimization
- Collaborative mindset with clear communication skills and mentoring capability
- Strategic problem-solving approach that balances immediate needs with long-term scalability
