Our talent team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to develop scalable data architectures that enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the business.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cloud data platforms and shape the evolution toward a data-driven organization. You'll be developing robust data pipelines and collaborating closely with analytics teams to deliver high-quality data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern data pipelines in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments
  • Ensure high data quality, completeness, and reproducibility through efficient incremental loading processes
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes and API-based data integrations
  • Develop monitoring, logging, and error-handling frameworks while continuously optimizing performance and costs
  • Contribute to scalable data architecture including test, staging, and production environments using technologies such as CI/CD, Fabric Pipelines, dbt, or Airflow
  • Collaborate with data leadership and analysts to provide quality data for dashboards and machine learning applications

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 3–5 years of experience building and operating data pipelines or data platforms (senior-level preferred; motivated mid-level candidates welcome)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data Services, particularly Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse; Microsoft Fabric experience is a plus
  • Excellent SQL and Python skills, especially for ETL/ELT processes and automation
  • Experience with data modeling, ideally using Bronze-Silver-Gold layer architectures
  • Knowledge of data quality management, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
  • Proven ability to independently execute technical projects with a structured, solution-oriented approach
  • Strong team orientation and enjoyment of collaboration in international environments
  • Fluent German or English (minimum B1 German with excellent English, or fluent German)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with incremental loading and delta processing
  • Data integration experience for business intelligence tools and semantic models
  • E-commerce domain knowledge
  • API-based data integration experience
  • CI/CD knowledge with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
  • Interest in machine learning and building data-driven organizations
