Controller (m/w/d) Finance

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential chemical distribution organization in the Frankfurt am Main area, and we're seeking a Finance Controller to support financial steering across an international operation.

In this role, you will:

• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting for management and headquarters
• Contribute to consolidation, validation, analysis, and management-oriented presentation of financial results
• Participate in group-wide budgeting and forecasting processes
• Prepare variance analyses, ad-hoc evaluations, and KPI reports
• Analyze revenue, profitability, margins, costs, working capital, liquidity, and cash flow
• Maintain and develop reporting and controlling files, Excel models, and management dashboards
• Help standardize and harmonize controlling processes and reporting standards across the organization
• Collaborate closely with accounting, finance, tax, local units, subsidiaries, and group headquarters
• Support implementation and enhancement of consolidation, planning, and reporting tools such as LucaNet and Power BI
• Contribute to special projects including business cases, investment decisions, M&A projects, and company valuations

Note: This position is intentionally broad and offers insight into the entire financial management of the group—from operational reporting through to strategic special topics.

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in business administration, economics, or comparable qualification
• Initial to several years of professional experience in controlling, group reporting, corporate controlling, or comparable finance function
• Experience creating management reports, budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and KPI reporting
• Good understanding of accounting processes, monthly and annual financial statements, and fundamental consolidation principles
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a structured, independent, and detail-oriented working style
• Confident handling of large data volumes and complex Excel models; SAP knowledge advantageous
• Experience with reporting, planning, or business intelligence tools (Power BI, LucaNet, or similar) advantageous
• Ability to present complex financial matters clearly and understandably
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
• Team player with proactive, reliable working style and hands-on mentality
