Senior Florist (12 Month FTC, 3 days per week)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading European direct-to-consumer gifting business in their search for a Senior Florist to join their London-based Range team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (3 days per week). Our client operates at the intersection of horticulture, photography, and digital commerce, creating beautiful product ranges that delight customers across multiple markets.

This is a hands-on role combining expert floristry craft with coordination and creative direction. You'll be the floristry authority across photoshoots, new product development, and brand initiatives—setting and maintaining the house style while working closely with creative, range, and supply teams.

Responsibilities

Shoots & Photography

• Act as floristry guardian, setting and maintaining house style across all photoshoots
• Lead floral conditioning and styling for ecommerce and lifestyle shoots, providing sign-off and problem-solving support
• Manage flower ordering and supplier liaison ahead of shoots, including sourcing substitutions when stems are unavailable
• Coordinate and oversee freelance florists to ensure consistent quality and style across all production

New Product Development

• Help set seasonal floral direction alongside Range and Creative teams for all horticulture ranges
• Design and refine bouquets through the entire NPD process, including revisiting designs once stem costs are confirmed
• Attend pre-production meetings ahead of major range launches to support decision-making and shoot planning
• Contribute to directional planning documents including moodboards, creative directions, and photoshoot styling guidelines
• Monitor floral trading trends to inform future bouquet designs and support data-driven shoot decisions

Reactive & Ad Hoc Support

• Respond quickly to reactive photography needs driven by trading trends
• Support ad hoc floristry requests across the business, from PR and brand gifting to event styling
• Assist Brand and PR teams with floral needs, including occasional on-camera presentations of floristry tips or styling content

What We're Looking For

• Extensive professional floristry experience in arranging, conditioning, and styling flowers to a high standard
• Comfort balancing hands-on floristry work with coordination and administrative responsibilities—this is an in-house role, not purely conceptual design
• Confidence leading and training other florists, with the ability to be the final decision-maker on design matters
• Strong communication and coordination skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
• Comfortable presenting to groups or on camera to support brand, PR, and social media activities such as workshops or content creation
• Ability to work three days per week in London
