Machine Learning Consultant (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data science consultancy based in Munich. Our client specializes in end-to-end machine learning solutions and serves clients across banking, insurance, automotive, retail, and other industries. We're seeking a Machine Learning Consultant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who wants to work on diverse AI and data projects while developing skills across cloud architecture, software engineering, and data science.

Responsibilities

• Research and prototype innovative solutions that create value for clients across multiple industries
• Implement customer-specific use cases and guide clients through the entire project lifecycle, from creative workshops to production deployment
• Improve client data usage through data modeling and visualization
• Develop and deliver data science use cases using modern machine learning approaches
• Develop and coordinate infrastructure projects, including cloud data lakes and data warehouses
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams on client engagements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's and Master's degree with strong quantitative background (Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field)
• Experience and/or genuine interest in artificial intelligence
• Solid experience with relational databases and SQL
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Java
• Hands-on experience using LLMs, including agents, RAG, and vector databases
• Fluent English and German at C1 level or higher (mandatory)

Strongly Preferred:

• Knowledge of visualization and frontend technologies
• Experience in cloud infrastructure development and management
• Background in the consulting industry
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, or Spark
• Interest in agile project management
