Senior Data Analyst (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobile gaming organization headquartered in Hamburg that is scaling rapidly and building interdisciplinary data teams to support product, commercial, and financial decision-making. This is a Senior Data Analyst role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and wants to work at the intersection of AI-assisted analysis, product analytics, and business strategy.

Our client is moving beyond siloed analyst functions. They use AI tools like Claude to handle routine analysis, freeing senior analysts to focus on judgment, framing complex problems, and driving measurable impact across multiple domains. You will work as a generalist supporting Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams, using Databricks and Claude daily to answer ambiguous business questions and turn hypotheses into decision-ready insights.

This role is based in Hamburg with a hybrid schedule: remote on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, and Operations to bring clarity to ambiguous problems and support decisions with data.
• Turn vague business questions into structured hypotheses, experiments, and actionable analyses across product, commercial, and financial domains.
• Use Claude and Databricks as core daily tools for analysis and automation, working with high-frequency data updating every few minutes rather than static daily aggregates.
• Track and analyze performance across product engagement, campaign effectiveness, revenue, and profitability dimensions, adapting focus to wherever decision support is most needed.
• Build dashboards and self-service tools that enable teams to monitor performance independently without repeated ad hoc requests.
• Identify gaps in tracking and data quality early, and help improve instrumentation across business domains.
• Absorb new business context quickly when redeployed to different stakeholder teams, contributing decision-ready work within weeks.
• Share your thinking openly, from quick prototypes to final recommendations, to help the team learn faster and improve collective analytical capability.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in product, business, or behavioral analytics, ideally spanning more than one domain such as product, marketing, finance, or commercial operations.
• B2C, mobile gaming, or AdTech experience is a strong plus.
• Genuine hands-on experience working with AI tools like Claude as part of your daily workflow, not just occasional use.
• Strong Databricks and/or Spark experience with several years of real, hands-on exposure in production environments.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for analysis, automation, and modeling.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms for dashboarding and self-service analytics.
• Comfortable framing ambiguous questions into structured hypotheses and evaluating experiments including A/B tests and incrementality studies.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders through structured, data-driven argumentation.
• Independent and solution-oriented mindset, comfortable operating in fast-paced, international environments.
